I am Brittney Welsh. I am a full-time student at Slippery Rock University that loves to model in any free time that I can find. Everyone always told me that I had the "right build and a pretty face" but it took me a while to finally use that and a little make-up to my advantage and finally find the beauty that everyone told me I had. The more shoots that I do, the more confidence I find and I am in love with the attention and the opportunities that the final product of my previous shoots have brought me. I am anxious to continue this passion of mine, to expand my knowledge of the modeling industry and to be someone that people can look up to. When I was 14 I had plans to move to California and try to get a job modeling lingerie and punk clothes for the Hot Topic Headquarters. I also planned to get all these tattoo's and piercings (which I ended up getting 15 before I was 19 and now I'm down to 7) and I was always getting "roughed up" (bruises, cuts, scars) from playing with my god-brothers and friends. I thought that I was destroying my body though and that no one would want me to model for them but when I turned 18 a friend of mine that modeled introduced me to some photographers who told me that "anything can be photo-shopped. Real models look like the average Joe when you see them on the street. We don't look for people that look flawless. We look for the people that have naturally beautiful features and for the people that have a passion for the industry." This raised my hopes and soon enough I found myself building a portfolio and getting contacted by many local (and a few very distant) photographers. I'm finally a step in the right direction and on my way to being the next Patriot Girl, Emerald Girl or best of all (mostly wishful thinking) a Victoria's Secret Angel.
