Novoc8n Photography ~ mind numbing images

Hi, I'm Brian :)
As of the begging of this year, photography became my full time job and main source of income. I shoot weddings, head shots, and portraits professionally as B.Mikal Photography, but I am here on Model Mayhem to express myself artistically and scratch that creative itch!

I do both PAID and TRADE so let me know what you have in mind and lets collaborate! :)
I have a few goals here and they pretty much fall in this order:
1. Find a local muse here in San Jose
2. Get ridiculously creative and experiment like I used to do in my self portraits
3. Create beautiful images of beautiful women
4. Submit work and get published! (I haven't even tried yet)
4. Shoot genre's of photography that I haven't before or that I'm less experienced with
5. Have fun!

That being said, I particularly want to shoot: unique tattooed and pierced models; glamour shots that make your heart feel weak; dark concepts that are just disturbing and cheery images that make people smile :); nudes that make the viewer feel lucky and implied that tease and frustrate; erotic photography with artistic value like Hegre Art; body paint that's just plain cool looking; extreme makeup designs that showcase the MUA's talent; fitness and sports modeling that's fresh, sexy, and inspiring; gorgeous pregnancy photos because there is nothing more feminine that growing a tiny human!!!; lingerie modeling that makes you wish you were a bra; pin-up photos that bring you back to the 1940s & 50s; and someday when I have the equipment, underwater photography that just speaks WOW :)

For the most part I am an available light photographer, which means I shoot in natural light or with other sources already on location. I generally don't use strobes or video light, but can when I have to. To me, finding light is part of photography and I really appreciate that part of scouting a location.

I really like working with inexperienced or new models, simply because I have met too many models that think they know everything /: Plus, I really like helping build portfolios! :)
However, if you're an experienced model, but still down to earth, I'd absolutely love to work with you!!! I'm a humble photographer, I never stop learning, and you probably could teach me a thing or two :) My camera frame just isn't large enough for some model's egos and I'm sure you know what I mean. haha

I'll shoot male models in some situations, but not very likely for trade. Novoc8n Photography is all about shooting what I think is beautiful and women are that! Every once in a while I come across a man that just looks like a perfect specimen human being though and I can't help but to see the beauty in that too :P
