I'm Jessica Ava, a freelance makeup artist based in the midlands. I completed my level 3 national diploma in theatre makeup and hair in 2011 and was tutored by the very successful international makeup artist Karla Powell. Since completing my course, I have been working full time in a job that is not my dream (catering) to help me build up a beautiful healthy makeup kit to fulfill my real dream of becoming a professional full time makeup artist. Recently I have been building up a portfolio of my work, mainly working on bridal makeup but hoping to expand my genre and work on editorial/fashion shoots too. I am hoping that, from this site, I am able to interact and network with photographers and other makeup artists to really get my portfolio and dreams underway!
