I'm Gillian- a female photographer / collage artist living and working in the San Francisco Mission District.
My large-scale collage artworks are based on my photographs of women! My artwork turns ordinary people into psychedelic dream deities. <3

The artwork is based in the spiritual, and my name (and brand) Enlightenment Barbie is a ironic jab at the myth that pretty girls don't have brains or souls. I am experimenting with the idea that all things are spiritual, and I am experimenting with the idea of femininity, and what that means to me- as I am a very girly looking female who is much more masculine on the inside.

I am a self taught photographer and have worked freelance for artists, bloggers and designers in the area since 2011. I work with a digital SLR and like to shoot indoors and outdoors, depending on the damn weather!

Have worked with many models in the area and have modeled myself.

I am seeking models with unique looks who are excited about being a part of this artwork. I will be able to pay models but of course SUPER appreciate anyone who wants to volunteer for trade!
