I've been shooting photographs since 1977 and had the blessing of being mentored by Gene Crutchter. I shoot with a 50mm lens Pentax 35mm film. Gene taught me the best telephoto lens was my legs. He said to get close and click.
I did not use flash back then.
I made every mistake possible and tried to learn from them all. I did underwater photography during my scuba diving years.

I changed over to digitial cameras when they hit 5 megapixals in 2002, thinking the quality is as good as film. In Los Angeles I shot a dozen weddings and hundreds of models. I was paid $1500 for 1 hour of photography to create a movie poster.
Now I use flash and have a few strobe lights.
