Photography is an art, a science, a practice of drawing with light. My passion for photography is rooted in my love of art, and my interest connecting with my subjects. I aim to capture moments of high expression, moments that reveal depth, vulnerability, and love.

My interest in photography began when I started shooting pictures of my daughter at horse shows as a way of passing time on long days on hot, dusty fields. As I continued to capture and then examine shots of my daughter in moments of love, excitement, fear, and deep inner peace, I began to understand her passion through my own. Our connection deepened as my interest in photography grew.

As my interest grew, my subjects became more varied. However, I continue to apply what I learned in the beginning, which is that photography is about capturing moments of heightened feelings, so that those moments may be revealed to the subjects themselves, and shared with others. Photographs should tell a story and spark interest in learning more. They should reveal the mysterious beauty of their subject.
