I have been a part-time photographer for about eight years now. I am trying to break away from wedding and event photography. I am currently in the process of re-launching a photography business (formerly Olson Photography) my new website for Chain Reaction Photography should be launched soon. As of January 2017 I’m trying to slowly transition to full-time photography. Most of my experience is from weddings, events, nature and landscape, engagements and pregnancy portraits.

I joined Model Mayhem on the recommendation of a photographer friend. I have wanted to start doing Travel, Adventure, and Lifestyle photography for some time now. I decided to take advantage of the area we live in and seek out local talent to network with to achieve this. I am searching for local models that are willing to work TFP as I am not currently receiving an income for this project of mine. I am happy to cater the locations to your availability and comfort. I am just as happy to go on a 15 mile hike in the mountains as I am to go to a more centrally located urban environment for these images, so it’s OK if you don’t do bugs or the wilderness.

My current idea is to start with very local areas and more heavily populated locations. As much as I love to go off into the wilderness, there is a degree of intelligence to meeting each other and A) making sure we are who we say we are and B) making sure we work well with each other before going off into remote places.

One thing you should know about me is that I have a thing for sunrises. I love sunsets as well, but even D.C. is almost empty right as the sun is coming up. I am fully aware of the traffic in this area, so I will do my best to plan around that, but it is quite likely that I will request an EARLY start. I also will ask you before we schedule a session how much you are willing to walk around. This is because I am a very active person and tend to not blink an eye at anything under 10 miles, and I understand that some people think I’m a bit abnormal for that; so I appreciate your honesty up front so I can plan accordingly. I will have a series of ideas for specific images and locations in mind for each session, but this type of photography lends itself to a little sightseeing and spontaneity as well unlike some other forms of modeling.
