“Working with Chelsea was an eye opening experience. As a photographer and artist in general, the main focus of my work in the past has been working with the everyday woman to create amazing works of art, for I truly believe with direction, the right light and angles most people can produce something amazing.

The experiment with Chelsea was prompted by my goal to get better at my art. I wanted to know what it was like to work with someone who was comfortable in front of the lens, someone who knew angles, light, poses, someone who is interested in the result, and will contort, pout and jump to get it.

I explained all of this to Chelsea and she got it immediately and was only too happy help me see if I could grow my art this way. Instantly, from explaining what my lens does, to showing her the images, she went from pose to pose, fluidly but in slow motion, giving each one just enough time for the shutter to fire before moving onto the next. It was a beautiful thing to watch, but a realisation hit me like a lightning bolt while shooting, models are real people too, they just possess special skills that photographers need in order to create beautiful art.

1.They are photogenic, and they know it.
2.They know what looks good in the end, and move to create that.

In real life, and the next day reviewing the images, the amount of shots we got in a few short hours was amazing. Editorial, fashion, emotional and fun, and some incorporating all these styles. Nothing was too much for her, no ask too hard.
