About Me

I have been an active Professional Photographer since 1997. Originally starting with winter sports - Snowmobile Racing, High School Hockey. I attended Ohio Institute of Photography & Technology in Dayton, OH from 1999 -2002. At OIP&T I started photographing Contemporary Dance Models in the Studios at the school, some nudes and in full action, stopping time for just 1/500th of a second using mainly Hasselblad film cameras. (At that time, Lois Greenfield was my hero!)
In 2002, I returned to my home in Northern Minnesota to re-vamp our already 10 year old photo studio. Sweet Water Photo Studios is now in it's 21st year, as a fully functioning Wedding, Portrait, Commercial & Architechtural Photographers.
In 2009, we added an outside studio with three main themes: Old Barn - Rusted Metal - and a MN license plate wall with 75 years of old plates.
In 2011, we added "Offie's Gas & Bait" a rustic, 1950's themed service station, complete with old gas pumps, pump island and light. The set also includes a 1950's Coka-Cola wall that reds "Drink Coka-Cola" and includes a 1950's Coke machine, old wooden bottle cases and empty bottle rack.
In 2012, we will be adding a 25 x40 pond with an old wooden 8 foot boat and a 1950's 3 hp Evinrude motor.
