Jairus Oxendine was born in Claxton, Ga, and raised by a single mother Mariyln Houston (now Givens). As a young man I was always amazed and captivated with the beautiy that was found itn everyday life, and expressing it through creative outlets.  Growing up as a very independent child, the creativity of fashion was realized early on as cut outs of outfits and mannequin figures were made and mock fashion shows created in show boxes. As a teenager a modeling career was pursued but there was more to give and more to learn. Currently living and working in NYC in under the umbrella company Shaya’s Fashion music group LLC, Hugs and Kisses Style Production is the next step in the life of Jairus Oxendine.

Hugs and Kisses Style Production is a mixture of talents, hair, makeup, creating, accenting the concept/ theme and look for a fashion show, buyer,  designer, or for each individual.  I enjoy working with the models and I also teach them how to walk, but my passion and my joy is breathing life into a creation and making it pop!

I have been blessed to have tutored and worked with an icon within the fashion show business, Christian Ruart@RC productions as backstage production coordinator in the Fashion Week 2007 show at Gotham Hall, where I worked with several designers: Shaya Design, The House of Hot CoCoa, Dvizionz, Raif Lan’ier, Nobody Clothing & Apparel, The YaYa, and Patheo.  In addition I have worked with, directors, actors, models and designers by directing fashion shows, photo shoots, hair and makeup concepts, accessory concepts, staging, and choreography.

I enjoy working in the preparation for the show, in all aspects, because I truly believe that when a creator is capable of handling and producing the essential elements to aid a customer, that stylist will have a better overall projection of what is wanted, when working with and listening and aiding the customer along the way.
