Marc Burgess Photography is an editorial fine art experience.  My work extends from fashion, travel, fine art, commercial, portraits, events and adult work.  My passion for every assignment is a natural high that is borne from my love and training in  photography.

My work extends from NYC, Milano, Paris, Hamburg, Greece, China, Peru, Rio de Janiero, Mexico, Miami, Chicago and more.

Needless to say, my passport is stamped often and I look forward to meeting new clientele regardless of location.

I am only available for paid assignments and don't need any TFCD images, as I don't need to be sold free pictures or exposure of my own work.  There should always be a trade off and my rates are so reasonable, you'll wonder why you wasted your valuable time to hire a free photographer in the first place.

Despite the extreme changes that have occurred in photography over the past two decades, I have adapted and continued to grow in my field and build new client relations. Although my approach is rather awkward and un-orthodox at times, my vision is uniquely different and not all about the "cookie-cutter" craze. 

I love shooting models that are comfortable in their own skin the most.  Models that can style and do their own makeup are the models I hire most even if a MUA is on set.  As a model myself, regardless of gender, I believe the true essence of any model is the spirit within, and hiding behind a bunch of makeup, over-stylized and/or photoshopped images is not what makes a good model. I am patient, but always aim to push a model's range, after all you can't photo-shop personality.

I always like to stress the importance and difference between a good photographer and a good retoucher.  Today, it is the assumption that all photography requires photo-shop. That is simple a lie.  While editing software is certainly a wide-spread practice, my aim is create the magic through the lens, not photo-shop.  Of course, the work flow has changed since the death of FILM, and some editing is required, but the basics of my photography remain the same.  The magic happens on set. 

With that said, I am available for paid testing for model portfolios and offer killer rates.  Models that shoot with me leave happy and get quality imaging.
