About Me

Jeremy Chaplin’s Biography:
Jeremy started his photographic career prior to leaving school, working as a photojournalist for his local newspaper.
Following a fashion degree course at Cheltenham University he relocated to London.
Aiming to develop his skills he got his first assisting job at the well known, “Holborn Studios”. Working his way through the studio “system” he worked at most of London’s prestigious photo facilities. This culminated in managing Metro Imaging’s first purpose built studio in the capital.
During this period, which he describes as  “the best training I could never have afforded to pay for…” he experienced the methods of England’s most influential photographers. “When you work with people like Barry Latigan, Craig McDean and Nick Knight, you realize there are no boundaries”. “It also gave me the opportunity to travel on many foreign assignments”.
Following this baptism of fire, he was able to establish his own style. Setting out to forge his own career, initially forming a productive alliance with proto fetish / fashion magazine, Skin Two. “At the time, every stylist worth their salt had a copy of Skin Two at home….” This collaboration led to many of the following commissions:
