About Me

Born in Cleveland, Ohio to an African American mother and Polish American father, Riya possesses a look, walk and natural connection with the catwalk and camera that cannot be denied. Riya's modeling career began in 2007 when, after being encouraged by a friend, she entered a modeling contest for Known Magazine. Riya was the first model to walk, won and was featured on the cover of the premier issue of the magazine. Best known for modeling an original design by Byron Lars during BET's 2009 Rip the Runway, Riya has modeled for the United States Navy and King of Diamonds Custom Jewelry Design.  She has also been in several charity fashion shows. Although modeling is her passion, Riya knows the value of higher education and is currently a full time student pursing a degree in Paralegal Studies.

Riya is just beginning to realize the rewards of her hard work and determination. With the continued support of her friends and family, the sky is the limit.
