Great pin-up and figure artists such as Elvgren, Lempicka and Varga were also skilled photographers. Most artists have used photographs for reference today including Vellejo, Olivia and Dutkiewics. My passion is in rendering the female form like so many others. But my final goal will be to create with more primative tools. Brushes, canvas and clay have been my mediums but there was something missing.
Glamour photography puts me in contact with women lots of beautiful women. The result is a better understanding of what makes a great image. This transfers to all areas of my art including painting and sculpture too.
