I'm a professional make up artist for over 9 years now, I work for T.V., photoshoots (glamour, fashion, publicity, art,bridal,....),opera theater, movies and special events.

The reason why I wanted to become a make up artist in the first place was because of the movies: fantasy, horror, gore.
I have always been a huge fan of the work Of Tom Savini or  the people at "Troma studios". What a lot of people may call B or Z movies is my "make up playground".

Of course I also love fashion and "beauty" make up (hey, I'm a girl after and before all), but even there I always like to "create" characters, trying to give it a little extra, something dramatic or artistic.
I like to look upon beauty as a by-product of intelligence and I think beauty make up should really help the models to play the role they're supposed to play in the picture.

I'm living and working mainly in Brussels and Belgium but for a good make up job I travel.
I speak fluently Dutch (mothertongue), French, English and German.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING and STUDIES:

I first studied History of arts during 1 year and than switched to graphic and publicity design (I love art in theoretical and practical way).

A couple of years later  I found my "true" calling: Make up.
1999-2000: professional make up studies at the private school of Jean-Pierre FInotto in Brussels.

After graduating I worked for a little while together with some other make up artists, who inspired me, took me under their wing, helping me develop my art. Thankx to all of you guys.

I work full-time as a freelance make up artist now and I enjoy every second of it.
I regularly fine tune my skills by following masterclasses (at M.A.C. or Make Up For Ever Paris) and by keeping my eyes open all the time.

Inspiration is everywhere.
