About Me

Rikki “Mr. Personality” McKinney Bio
Alternating between ballet, modern dance, Broadway, television, film, and walking the catwalk. Rikki whose chiseled good looks are accented by dark mysterious eyes wins kudos wherever his interests lead him. Nothing attests to his versatility like his resume. He started his career by attending Arts Middle and High School with a concentration acting. His outlook on the Arts changed when his dance teacher Paulette Johnson took him to see a live performance of Alvin Ailey American Theater. Immediately he shifted his focus from acting to dance. After getting accepted into Pinellas County Center for the Arts High School dance program, he realized that in order for him to be a versatile artist he must learn all aspects of dance. So he attended many summer intensive programs around the nation on Full Scholarship such as Alvin Ailey Dance School (in which he had the opportunity to perform “Memoria” with the first company on stage) School of American Ballet Theater, The Rock School, Broadway Dance Center, The Edge, Jacobs Pillow, and Chuck Davis African Dance Ensemble. Not to mention he has won numerous awards at many Dance Competitions and  Conventions  such as Star Power, Urban Jamm, and LA Dance Force.
In 2005 Rikki received his BFA degree in Ballet from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia on a Directors Full Scholarship. While in College, Rikki was able to maintain a 3.0 GPA while performing works created by World famous Choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Desmond Richardson, Cuban Pete, Fernando Bejunes(which he restage Jazz Swing Ballet on Rikki), Christopher Flemings, Milton Meyers, Jermaine Brown, Ann Reinking and HiHat (Missy Elliot Choreographer) just to name a few. Rikki stayed busy while in school dancing on many Tours and walking down many runways such as Nick and Aaron Cater Tour, Raven Simone, New York City Fashion Week, featured in a 10 page Editorial spread in L’Uomo Vogue Magazine (Men’s Vogue), Clothing Campaign for Jack and Jill clothing, Tangible Truth Tour, Eleone Dance company, Brandywine Ballet Company, South Jersey Ballet Company, Philadelphia Opera Company, and performing road shows with the Rock School. Since graduation, Rikki has made the Transition from dancer to Teacher, Choreographer, recording and performing Artist Development. He still performs nationally and internationally, whether it’s modeling in Milan, dancing in Japan, teaching in Atlanta, staging a recording artist show in LA, developing educational dance workshops around the U.S or studying lines for his next film or commercial Rikki is always looking for an outlet to expose his artistry and creativity through all forms of the arts such as Performing, Multimedia, and Literary. Not to mention he’s under 23 yrs old.

"  Rikki is more than just an artist. He is a rare breed among celebrities [HOLLA!] , a true humanitarian for whom the fruits of his artistic endeavors are more than just a vehicle for wealth and fame. "
