About Me

Rafael Cox was born in New Mexico on November 9, 1983. He is the youngest of 4 in a military family, who lived in California before moving to Georgia.

In 2003, he enrolled in American Intercontinental University to study Fashion Design. After receiving rave reviews for his senior collection at AIU, he went on to do several fashion shows around the city, including several Clark Atlanta University Fashion Shows, Morehouse College Homecoming Fashion Shows, as well as Dress For Success Competition Fashion Show. He also participated in Project X Fashion Shows, which have been credited as the largest expo of fashion in the South-East. Rafael's talent and star quality have garnered his appearances in several publications including Atlanta Peach, Jezebel, Paper City, and the Atlanta Journal Constitution. He has made a name for himself as a wardrobe stylist through previous jobs with clients such as, Michael Vick in Warrick Dunn's "Wash & Wear," Elite Model Agency through Jeffrey's "Fashion Cares" show.

Inspired by designer Yves Saint Laurent and supermodel Tyra Banks, Rafael's collections are known for their originality, distinctive appearance and custom fits. He is a designer that covers all aspects of fashion from ready-to-wear to Haute Couture within his cohesive body of work. Rafael believes that "fashion is for all shapes and sizes, leaving no one unclothed."

In February 2009, the Rafael Cox clothing line is due to be in several boutiques in the Metro Atlanta area, consisting of ready-to-wear, evening wear and accessories... Stay tuned...
