It was not until recently that I admitted to the world, or really even myself, what my true passion in life was. I grew up in environment where the norm was to get good grades, go to college, get a job, get married, and then raise a family. For most of my former years I felt much like a drone going through the motions. It was not until I graduated from college and started my masters that I realized I was not genuinely happy. I took a hold of my life and asked myself what I was truly passionate about. The answer was makeup. Becoming a makeup artist was something I had always secretly dreamed about but never spoke of. All through high school and college, I remember cutting out pictures and articles on makeup tips and tricks. I would try and recreate what I saw on the faces of models and actresses. I left my chemistry degree behind and started to pursue my dream.

I am now an esthetician/makeup artist at Air Tan & Salon. I am also an artist for Benefits Cosmetics and do freelancing whenever possible. I hope to network and gain experience through Model Mayhem. I hope to one day be a professional makeup artist, who travels the world doing photo shoots.
