About Me

My real name channelle Hylton-Taylor but you will know me as Chay Nelle.

I am a daner/actress/model/singer and i am very passionate about what i do! My eclectic training and experience over the years, such as working with people, dedicating myself to my field of work, communicating and interacting with others, has helped me to nurture and develop my own skills in order to be attentive and understanding to the client I am working with. I work hard, I know what I want from life, and I aim high in order to achieve it! I am a good leader – charismatic, visual, transactional (solution focused) and innovative.THis industry is survival of the fitest, and i aim to excel and be all i can be!

•    I participated in various drama productions ranging from the ‘Beatles’ ( a tribute to the Beatles), ‘Alice in wonderland’ to Amy rosenthal’s ‘Henna Nights’.

•    Performed in ‘Taming of the Shrew’ written by William Shakespeare at the Sutton Academy Theatre
•    I played an extra in the bollywood movie ‘Naughty at Forty’ as a woman at the bar and a one of the women dancing in the club. The film is produced by Sandeep Kapur and directed by Jagmohan Mundra with famous Bollywood actors such as Govinda and Ayesha, Takia, Anupam Kher and Shakti Kapoor
•    Played ‘Lucy Whoo’ in a 6 week aired show on a Birmingham radio station
•    Supported a number of artists and was a dresser in productions e.g. Cats, Annie, Chicago, Greece showing I am knowledgeable and confident, back stage, in front of the stage or on it
•    Worked closely with Choreographers like Ben Wright, James Hewison
•    Key to supporting and facilitating the royal visit or HRH Prince Edward to the University of Bedfordshire, for the opening of the new Theatre, showing  i am an excellent communicator and this has helped me to build rapport and build a relationship with people
•    Held a number of community workshops for young people such as ‘Unshackled to Dance’.
•    I have studied Release technique, Graham, Cunningham, Humphrey technique since the age of eleven.
•    I have trained in ballet, modern, street jazz, contemporary, singing and drama.
•    Facilitated my own workshops held at the royal ballet, Birmingham I have facilitated workshops in schools – dance and choreography. Showing I have the ability to change and adapt to any situation, because I understand every one is different and you have to be attentive to  people’s needs

•    Participated in music videos i.e. Shin Mina and Boyzone
•    Lived in Africa for three months to get an insight into the culture and life of the country and to open up my own dance vocabulary to new and interesting movement
•    Choreographed African contemporary performances such as ABANTU! Which consisted of four dancers
•    Studied and researched for a year how African dance worship rituals manifest itself in today’s choreographic practice

•    Participated in radio, i.e. voice over, jingles, played a character in a play series
•    I have facilitated  and taught  in schools and then showcased my work in a performance – dance and choreography.

•    I achieved a place at The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts(2004)
•    Offered a place (for 2008) to do a MA at Sir Paul McCartney’s LIPA  (Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts)
•    Offered a place to work with Rhema Theatre Company (based Manchester for 2008)
