About Me
Welcome to Fringe Alternative Image Works.
My creative endeavors are devoted to the creation of photographic fine arts images, with specific focus centered on the beauty of the human form. I place the human form in both natural and man-made environments, then through image, relate their stories of harmony or disharmony. I am always experimenting with different ways the human figure can be woven into a fine arts tapestry. When it comes to figure photography I am considered a minimalist. When working in this discipline, I seek to follow the example set forth by renowned photographer David Hamilton. I tend to use simple props, basic lighting, and engage in little post-production work. Some creative exceptions apply. I consider the human body to be a true manifestation of "Living Art", and through sensitivity, honor it as such. When working with new models, I seek to uncover the layers that weave each unique story… then devote my talents to telling that story through a fine arts tapestry. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I am told that I have a meticulous eye for composition, and light. To those who think so, I am greatly humbled! I am thrilled to showcase my work on Model Mayhem. It has proven to be an ideal forum where my work can be seen, judged, and hopefully appreciated. Please take a moment to preview my portfolio images, and if moved to do so, leave your comments. Originally from Canada, I continue to pursue my photographic passion here in the United States. My career thus far has taken me across Canada, the United States, and parts of Western Europe. My images have graced the walls of the University of Georgia's - State Botanical Gardens, the Athens Clarke County - Lyndon House Arts Center, as well as lesser-known galleries scattered throughout the northeastern region of Georgia. I utilize Model Mayhem as a resource in hiring new and experienced modeling talent, as well as launching creative collaborations with other industry professionals. I support TFI (time for images) projects, but will only participate in joint collaborations if, the project appears to be well conceived, and holds a reasonable degree of artistic merit. If you are a new figure model, and wish to book a TFI session, please submit your ideas using the contact information listed below. If I believe the idea behind your session request is a good one, I will take all necessary steps to make it happen. For information concerning rates and availability, please contact me through the Model Mayhem server, by telephone at 706-540-2727, or by e-mail to [email protected].
