About Me

Greetings & salutations! I am D.K., also known as DⒶⓋi St★rdust
("V" for short, formerly known by the names "Damiana Darkstar" & "Damiana K.")

- Eclectic ARTivist/Creatrix, vocalist, founder of DarkStardust Creative Enterprises (Est. 2000), The Raw Veganista, & LORAX Community Outreach.

2018 Update:

- Semi-retired from modelling/front-of-camera work back in 2012 to self-heal from a severe cycling accident and pursue creative/educational endeavours.

- Since then I have moved a number of times and been working as a photographer, culinary artist/instructor, writer, philanthropist, educator, and curator/talent scout/agent whilst travelling & exploring various parts of the USA (Los Angeles, Tampa, Jupiter, Cincinnati, Cleveland & NYC to name a few)

- I have also been doing a bit of studio recording and hobby work as a musician here and there.

Please note: at present I am engaged in a number of advocacy pursuits which have been keeping me rather nomadic and NOT YET permanently based anywhere.

Modeling Background:
• Print
• Film
• Video
• Trade Shows/Conventions
• Hair
• Jewellery
• Promotional/Spokesperson
• Runway (although somewhat limited due to height)

Other Background, Activities & Interests:

• Classically trained vocalist with background in musical theatre, ensemble and solo performance as well as ballroom dance. Current styles of interest include rock, jazz, synth/electro/industrial and the occasional classical project.
• Fixture in the NYC Darkwave & Horrorpunk scenes. Performer, promoter, overall active participant.
• Vegan raw foodist, environmental and animal advocate/caretaker.

Edgy, analytical, sometimes overly political…

Other than that I've been told that I'm extremely fun and easy to work with, endlessly creative, energetic and a joy to be around.

Always interested in:
Alternative, pin-up, retro, sci-fi, horror, anime, cosplay, lingerie and fetish work. Open to just about anything creative, artistic and innovative.

Never interested in:
Any projects which call for topless, sheer clothing sans undergarments, nudity or sexually explicit scenarios.

Alternate haunts around the web include:
Musecube (Darkstar)
OMP (#172467)
Retrokitten (Darkstar or #1654)
FaceBook (as Damiana Darkstar)
& Twitter as @DarkStardust & @VeganModel

And finally, something I feel is important to put out there for consideration.
I am a vegan raw foodist for ethical as well as spiritual and health-related reasons.
Here is my mission statement, which sums up why I do many, most and possibly all of the things I do:

Mission Statement: To increase awareness through positivity in action.

My sole purpose for putting myself in public view is quite different from the reasons I find given by others I meet in everyday life. It has always seemed that I've been considered to be the "odd one" in most situations regarding public exposure, and even when I ventured into alternative work after severing my involvement with corporate spokesmodelling, I have often been referred to as "The Lorax"...

Although I have never gone the actual pageant or beauty contest route (have entered and won talent contests, but these were based upon stage performance and musical ability), I've been singing and dancing on stage as well modelling in one form or another from childhood up to now for reasons which very apparently differ from "the norm."
My involvement in the entertainment industry has never been about getting attention for attention's sake (or even financial gain--throughout the course of my career I have skipped meals from time to time due to an occasional recurrence of "starving artist syndrome"), but basically to show people that an animal friendly vegan lifestyle promotes an amazing sense of vitality brought on by the Universal peace and harmony which comes from consciousness and shows through in a very bold way--even on stage/screen/celluloid.

It is also for these reasons that I ended up separating myself from corporate work of most types and have made a point of being as active as possible in my attempt to publicly increase animal, environmental, social as well as spiritual and individual awareness throughout the years.

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Additional note: My top 12 are models/photographers that I know, have worked with already or plan to work with in the very near future.
