About Me

I am a photographer who works with both the classic film techniques of yesteryear and the newest digital technologies. My approach is to strive for a classic vintage look which emotes a mood or feeling. I also like to create images that create curiosity in the viewer and evoke a story. Although I live in Evanston, I share a small studio space with another professional photographer just south of the Loop in Chicago. The area where the studio is located also has many nearby interesting industrial locations to shoot on the street for edgy fashion images. My style is not to use various portrait softwares on the market to create highly plasticized images of models which may make for a clean and a flattering finished look, but bear little resemblance to the real person. Rather I prefer to create a mood using natural or studio lighting and then afterwards some light pixel and color balancing enhancements.

I also want to express my appreciation to cutting edge designer Laura Petrielli behind the Vex Label who has both loaned me samples of her designs as well as remained a good friend.
