About Me

I have a passion for creating artwork that will lead viewers to a more nuanced perception of the world around them. My work is informed by the visual communication paradigms of social media as well as the iconoclastic works of early 20th century French artists.

I studied fine art and film at York University before moving to Guelph, where I became an film maker and a participant in the local arts scene by becoming a member of the Guelph Studio Tour and the Guelph Creative Arts Association. While there I exhibited work in local galleries, including the Alma Gallery and the Barber Gallery.

After several years in Guelph, I was recruited to work on broadcast television projects in Toronto. Working in television allowed me sufficient freedom to concentrate on my creative artistic growth without having my artwork constrained by commercial considerations. While in Toronto, I worked as an assistant editor, editor, camera operator, colourist, and director of photography on shows for the W Network, Travel + Escape, CHCH, Vision TV, and the History Channel. I am currently working for the Investigation Discovery channel show “On the Case with Paula Zahn” as a field producer in New York.

For the past two years I have been researching and developing artwork for a new solo exhibition that explores themes around the female body and social media.

I have an art studio in St. Thomas, ON, where I paint, teach, and work on film projects.
