One-of-a-Kind Fashions, Costumes and Accessories by Designer Eric Glaser

Eric Glaser is a fashion & costume designer, milliner, wardrobe stylist and image creator. He has created a unique canon of garments, accessories and "looks" for nearly 20 years.

Following his longtime passion for fashion and costuming, Eric decided to take it to the next level when he launched H I S S Y F I T in January 2008 in an effort to stylize, glamorize, accessorize and entertain the world at large. He enjoys the freedom of walking (and sometimes most definitely crossing) the aesthetic line between fashion and costume and only feels the need to be confined by those terms when the project or client dictates it so.

February 2013 marked Eric’s debut as a Fashion Designer for New York Fashion Week, where he was thrilled to be requested as one of the featured designers in Cynique Evoule’s Shadowplay runway show for emerging fashion designers at the Empire Hotel across from Lincoln Center. That week, Eric's designs were requested and included in a Times Square Fashion shoot by frequent Vogue Italia contributing photographer David Kilper.

Eric moved to Los Angeles in October of 2012 to pursue his passion for creating truly unique works of wearable art for the entertainment industry. In 2013, Eric had the wonderful opportunity to study fashion/costume illustration under eight time Emmy Award nominee (for costume design) Warden Neil. That relationship now continues as Warden and Eric have developed an ongoing partnership having completed work on an upcoming 1930's noir film in December 2013 with other design projects in the works.

Eric was honored to serve as the fashion stylist for acclaimed Peruvian designer for Sergio Davila's NY Fashion Week F/W 2012-13 collection. That week, Eric also was a stylist and dresser for NY runway shows for designers Raul Penaranda, Kim Hicks and celebrity stylist Derek Warburton. He has also been involved with numerous high profile red carpet events from media relations to fashion styling and all aspects of event production including serving as publicist for Bali Fashion Week in 2001 and 10 years with Macy's Passport Fashion Show.

In 2012, he spent six months in Lima, Peru, as a fashion stylist and apprentice for Davila, while concurrently honing his technical skills while studying at fashon schools CEAM and Sofia Cenzano Fashion Design School.

In 2010, Eric created some of the costumes and styled two award-winning independent films, "The Glitter Emergency" and "Skinny Fat" and one television pilot project, "Nancy Boys and Hardly Drew."

Eric's distinctive designs range from avant-garde sculptural based pieces to leather and “featherwear” to high fashion and otherworldly costumes. He is perhaps best known for showcasing his elaborate feather headdresses and millinery Mohawks at numerous large scale events.

He has created custom made pieces and/or styled for a wide range of clients including theater companies, film, entertainers, musicians, executives and other individuals who dare to be different. He has also produced, directed and designed four successful conceptual performance based fashion shows in San Francisco under his H I S S Y F I T label.
