Angelique Keyes began her journey in Oakland, Ca. In 2007 was a landmark year in many respects, also being the year in which a photographer was born.

It was during the process of taking wedding photos for a family friend that she realized how much she truly loved taking pictures of others, snapping over 800 photos that day. Deciding to take photography up as a hobby she enrolled in courses at Laney College, and shortly after that decided photography was something that she wanted to pursue more seriously and officially started her home based business. Since that time she has reached out to the entertainment industry as a professional event and portrait photographer taking pictures for special artists such as family members Suga T, E40, B. Legit along with special guest like Brandy, Lou Rawls, Whitney Houston, and Ghanaian actors Van Vicker and Koby Maxwell. Angelique currently works with Ceo Grace Haukwa of Nabtry International Dancers with different projects and several of her photos appeared on the internet mainstream such as Vh-1.com, Chinashopcafe, Hiphopruckus and in the newspaper Tri-County Post which gave her the privilege to have the title “Photojournalist”.

It is through her lens that she is able to capture the true beauty of God’s creatures and this has become the founding principle on which her art is based. Her photographs expose the abundance of beauty surrounding her and act as a link between the near future and now, capturing memorable moments for generations to come. Photography is the platform that is being used to help build a legacy of commitment to the needs of aspiring artists and unfortunate children throughout America. Her ultimate goal is to establish an arts school in the Bay Area for youth and young adults who want to be seen and heard throughout the world.
Although Angelique is highly in demand, she is opened to new projects. No job is too big or too small.
My reason for joining Model Mayhem is to ehance my experience in the photography world. In addition I want to capture God's beauty and present it to the world. I hope to build a successful career as well as build a great repitation with other photographers and models.
