About Me

Like his professional moniker, Chief doesn’t have to say much; he’s a natural leader. Anthony “Chiefalone” Turner knew early on that his path would lead to music. Intrigued by the legendary Michael Jackson, and the freshness of MTV’s “Yo MTV Raps,” Chiefalone wrote his first rap at 11. Soon after he transformed grade school lunch rooms into small concerts, students and personnel alike unable to turn away from the young star.
One thing that separates Chiefalone from other artists is that he has always had a sharp business mind. At 18, he formed a company called The Faculty, under which he recorded himself and artists he was developing. While performing with his group, the Swagga Boyz, he caught the eye of Boys II Men member Shawn Stockman. Stockman quickly signed the group to his imprint, Soul Chemistry Projects.
Taking the knowledge learned from the label situation, Chiefalone developed an entire new style that caught the attention of his entire region. The EX was a collaborative effort between Chief and Mally, an accomplished producer in his own right. Heavily influenced by the 80’s, with its synth-heavy sounds, creative drum patterns, and image to match, The Ex created its own sound.
Under their company The Fac Enterprises, LLC Chiefalone and Mally own an independent label division called Never Stop Dreaming Music, Chief is busy creating solo projects and expanding his creative reach. His mixtape, The Larry Flynt Project, was released under the label, and a video for the single “Mirrors” was recently released. A Renaissance man of sorts, he does all his own videos and marketing under the media division Brand Name Media.
