About Me

"I have to keep it away from her, she'll bedazzle it."

This quote pretty much sums me up. I love all things sparkly. If I could cover my life with glitter, I would be the happiest of campers. My love of sparkly things has spilled over into many areas of my life. I am a self proclaimed martha stewart. I love a good DIY project and have dreams of filling my home with more gorgeous handmade creations.

I used to be a Bridal Consultant at the most perfect bridal shop in Bellingham, Wa. Alicia's Bridal fed my love of sparkly things and encouraged my wedding addiction. During those slow afternoons at Alicia's when everyone else was outside enjoying the rare sunny day, I would be at the shop "researching the industry" and "stay current on trends." This is code for devouring as many photographers wedding blogs as possible. I was like greedy kid who couldn't stuff enough pink frosted donuts in their mouth at one time to be fully satisfied. The more wedding photos I looked at, the more I obsessed I became over the beautiful moments that went into each day.

I married my best friend and better half this past August, Joe Jones. Our wedding photographer was and still is the most genius photographer I've ever met. She captured our day to utter perfection.

I figured my passion for weddings would peter out after having my own big special day. Nope. No such luck.

I still visit Alicia's on an almost monthly visit to "see what's new" and get the latest scoop on bridal trends. One of my besties, fellow bridal consultant and bridesmaid Gretchen is probably the most knowledgeable wedding person I know. She's my go to gal when I need to obsess with someone over a beautiful wedding photo or new trend.

The reason I wanted to be a photographer is two fold. I want to capture someones wedding day in such a way that every time they look at their pictures they are flooded with emotion because every moment is being relived in vivid detail. A wedding is one day and it goes by so quickly. (I know, I blinked 3 times and it was time to leave our reception as Husband & Wife.) All I have left are my memories of that day and the photos that bring on the day dreams. I want to give this to everyone I work with. The other reason I wanted to be a photographer is because I want every woman to feel beautiful. Yes men too....But mostly women. I know that a certain angle and pose can make all the difference in creating a stunning photo. I want to share this and give women photos where they are their most gorgeous selves. One can never have too many profile pics, right?
