About Me

I'm a Marin County based bridal gown designer of one-of-a-kind originals in imported silks and laces. Also I specialize in finding eco-chic fibers and and green friendly alternatives for my clients. 11 years ago I started Bride Chic, (http://bridechic.blogspot.com) a blog concentrating on bridal fashion. Since then it's developed into a fashion-forward resource for brides.
Since we sometimes have  more than one editorial for which we are casting, you can now go to my casting page and check out up and coming projects:  http://bridechic.blogspot.com/p/casting.html

IF YOU ARE A MODEL this is what I'm looking for: you need to be 5'7 or over and fit into a size 4-6. My samples do run a bit large. We're on the same page if you want fashion forward bridal in your port, yearn to be photographed in some really awesome couture pieces and are open to TFI.

Once we decide on a project, I’ll set up a fit shoot with you before we do the actual shoot with the photographer. This lets me, the MUA and photographer collaborate some on concept, lighting, what hair and makeup to use, etc. Fit shoots with my models will require full makeup, hair pulled up and back (no mua or hairdresser at the fit shoot) and at least 1-1 1/2 hours of your time depending on how many gowns we’re shooting .

I will ask you to sign a model’s release form and do use photos from the shoots in editorials and blog posts.

IF YOU ARE A PHOTOGRAPHER: I’m looking for photographers who want to shoot some great bridal couture and are open to TFI Ideally, you'd be skilled and interested in collaborating on beyond-the-fashion-norm-type editorials for my blog as well as other wedding/fashion blogs and publications out there I contribute to on a regular basis. I

l want to hear about your concept for a shoot or see enough of a body of your work . . . I also like to actually sit down and meet with the photographer (if possible) before I do a shoot so we can discuss ideas.

I do a fit shoot with my models in full makeup, hair pulled back before we finalize the actual shoot so you and the MUA can see how she/they look in the gowns.

I do credit, my photographers, every photo I run with a link back to your site. I also list and link to all the photographers I’ve worked with on my sidebar. Bride Chic’s header photos always have the photographer in the credits. In addition, I do run a ‘Photography Spotlight’ feature for bridal photographers, showcasing their weddings, and a Photo of the Week post for really off the charts bridal and fashion shots.

IF YOU ARE AN MUA: It would be a plus if you can do hair as well but not necessary.  I’m looking for an MUA who wants some OUTSIDE THE BOX bridal in her port and is open to TFI/TFCD.  Send me links and/or port with headshots. Some full body shots help but only if you have them.

Once we decide we want to work together, I’ll line up the model(s) and set up a fit shoot with them before we do the actual shoot with the photographer. This lets me, you and the photographer collaborate some on concept, lighting, what hair and makeup to use, etc.

I do use photos from the shoots in editorials and blog posts.  I also list and link to all the MUAs I’ve worked with on my sidebar. Bride Chic’s header photos always have the MUA in the credits.
