About Me

I am looking to do TFCD/TFP with models that look unconventional, anything but ordinary, or with those, who are experienced, adventurous and willing to do whatever it takes, to create art. In some instances I will pay for your gas and may offer you a few Polaroids. Otherwise, it's back to TF$$ or barters. I like art, art supplies( paints, canvasses, old, large picture frames), vintage accessories, antiques, cool and unusual items, I could use as props, etc.
If you have an interesting concept in mind and would like to do a shoot based on that, please do not hesitate to run it by me.

The art exists for the truth doesn't destroy us.

Art is individualism, and individualism is a disturbing and disintegrating force. There lies its immense value. For what it seeks is to disturb monotony of type, slavery of custom, tyranny of habit, and the reduction of man to the level of a machine.

I have been fascinated by photography since I was a teenager in the Soviet Union and have been photographing  ever since. For the first decade have focused mostly on still lifes, documentary, nature, portraits and architecture with a few commercial assignments or commissions in between. At this point, however, I am more interested in portrait, glamor, artistic nudes and advertising and commercial photography, without completely neglecting the fine art. Most shoots take place either at my studio in Upstate N.Y., located between Woodstock and Albany or on location. I try to use my creative energy to make conventional (read: boring)  commercial-type projects a bit different and a little more exciting.

I am always willing to collaborate with sharp professionals in the industry in order to create powerful images, that may define us some day.

Attention models who forget about, cancel at the last moment or simply fail to keep the scheduled appointment: I will NOT work with you again or, at best, next time I will have to charge you extra. And, why would you want that?

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the things you did do.
Throw off the bowlines.

Explore.  Dream.  Discover.

No one has ever excused his way to success.

Let us not follow where the path may lead.
Let us go instead where there is no path, and leave a trail.

Do not wait; the time will never be "just right". Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along.

Live as if you were to die tomorrow, - learn as if you were to live forever.

There is only you and your camera. The limitations in your photography are in yourself, for what we see is what we are.
