HISTORY:

Cherie Howard is a local Edmonton fashion designer who specializes in avant-garde clothing for the unusual and strange. Her street style can be described as simply elegant with a twist of eccentricity. Cherie Howard has been an active player in Edmonton’s fashion scene since 1993. She holds no valid fashion design certification but instead possesses 16 years of hands on experience, which proves to be one of her greatest strengths rather than a weakness.
Cherie explains, “Sewing is in my blood, passed down by my mother and grandmother. I have no certification in Fashion Design, I only have experience. I am well rounded with my skill set and I do however have certification in hairstyling, business management and graphic design w/an emphasis on fashion of course. Most recently I have been utilizing my skills in photography, which I have been dabbling in since 2004.”
You can see Cherie Howard’s work during Edmonton Fashion Week or at one of many local Edmonton art shows such as Form vs. Function sporadically throughout the year. A couple of Cherie’s future goals include owning her own design house and participating in Toronto fashion week. If you are interested in her collections you can contact her through email.
