THE RESIDENTIAL STUDIOS PICTURED HERE IN MY 3BR HOME,  ARE PUBLICLY RENTABLE @ $40/hour for all levels. INCLUDES USE OF STUDIO STROBES. Message me for details on terms and an equipment list.

I arrived here in New Mexico (as of 5/17/17) after life in Virginia, in a suburb of Washington, DC. That’s where I’ve been a lifelong photographer in lots of venues: engagements, glamour, business portraits/headshotz, boudoir, figure art, events, weddings.
Lots of shotz. Lots of environmental conditions.

I’m not one to follow the crowd and do things the same accepted way. I haven't narrowed down my styles to one or 2. But there’s a solid thread of true expression that reflects the enjoyment and trust in me, that clients have.

I have current projects that are seen in individual gallery titles.
But I’m shooting as a BUILD A SHOOT process. It goes like this:

We shoot in 30 minute segments. Wardrobe changes and makeup tweaks can add additional time. Each segment fits into one of these 4 style categories below. You choose segments/styles and the length of the shoot. A minimum of 1.5 hours (3 styles).

FASHION/CASUAL/LIFESTYLE: Stylish clothing from jeans to elegant gowns and everything in between. With settings indoors or out, it could be a LLBean outdoorsy shot to a glitzy movie star. Emphasis on believable expression complemented by the wardrobe and setting. You bring outfits and mix/match with my closet full of clothes and accessories. Commercial or runway models would fit here.

GLAMOUR/BOUDOIR: Wearing anything from slightly sexy regular clothes to lingerie to fabric wraps to peekaboo nothingness. This category has more variety than most because glamour is tough to define. Skin may show, or not. Implied nudes (no parts showing directly) fit in here. Emphasis on the sexy/sensual side. Expression is likely to be a range of full confidence to feeling attractive to shyly vulnerable. Emotion is key here.

HEADSHOTZ: Can be a tightly cropped head-only shot to waist-up. Pretty obvious what this is. The difference will be in expression and lighting, depending on the mood to be set. Could be brightly lit business shotz to shadowy mystique and glamour. Jewelry, hairstyles and accessories can vary the impact of the shot too, just like in any other photo style.

FIGURE/NUDE/ARTMODEL: This category is about nudes or near-nudes. But there is far more to it than just being naked. Figure/art models are aware then every part of their body must have complementary expression. If their face shows serenity, then calm and relaxation has to show in every pose and part. Art/figure models rarely look directly at the camera. That would distract from visually taking in the entire scene, model and all. Yes...nudes can just be naked and still be a great photo. It depends on the relationship with the viewer. There’s nude to be sensual and to arouse interest. There’s nude in contrast with an unexpected setting or as a natural part of glamour/boudoir. Lots of mood options here, but all will have the body as the central element.

EROTIC: This, believe it or not, is not an exclusively nude category. True, most erotic shotz have nudity. Usually erotic is more sexual than anything. But erotic can also just be in the sexy dramatic way the body expresses. Being fully clothed and using obvious touch, hot expression, anonymous body parts, or a number of fetishes like bondage, is erotic. So it’s not always X rated as many think. Emphasis is on sex, whether visual attraction or acts of. This is not a style for shy people.

I’m doing BUILD A SHOOT to avoid any confusion/anxiety/pressure about shooting outside your comfort zone or differently from my impressions. There’s always a clear plan.

For now, any design/length of a shoot is purely TF to get great images. In the future, however, if we don’t shoot for at least 1 of my projects out of 3 styles, there’ll be a fee for more style segments of your choice. BUT NOT NOW. I’m still getting re-established here.

You’ll get to view all the shotz we take in a shoot, in a password-protected gallery within 48 hours afterwards. Then you can choose a ratio of 2 edits per look/style that we shoot. I’ll give you those, plus any others I choose to do, to use as you please.

I shoot far less often, and  more selectively, these days. I make my few dollars in studio rentals, workshops and with non-MM clients. So if I contact you or you "friend" me, look for me to ask you about working together.

Get in touch to shoot/create soon. I’m anxious to add Southwest models to my portfolio mix. Thanks!

Bonus - I'm also certified to give Spirit/Angel Energy message card readings. Similar to tarot cards but meant to give you spiritually guided intuitive input into your life situations. This can be done on the same day as your shoot, here at THATstudio, if you want.
