Where are you from? Where are you based now and do you travel for shoots?

I’m originally from a small town in northeast Pennsylvania, called Sweet Valley. From there I moved to Philadelphia, then New York, and I’m now based in Los Angeles. I do travel when work opportunities present themselves.

Who or what inspired you to become a model?

Growing up I always admired women that had a strong presence within a room, a lot of times those same ladies were beautiful and happened to work in entertainment, so as a child I guess I really wanted to do something in life where I could grab peoples attention and maybe make a difference through that. I don’t think it was one icon that inspired me but all the women I was exposed to as a child that broke boundaries and didn’t follow the normally expected path of life.

How and when did you start modeling?

I started modeling when I was 15 years old. I grew up in a small town and so my mother turned to Barbizon modeling school. That was where I started my career, and while it didn’t help too much it did help inspire me and realize as I got older that modeling was something I really wanted to pursue.

What type of modeling do you enjoy the most?

I love high fashion work the most but partly due to the fact that I’m on the shorter side it’s not typically what I get booked for, but when I do I love the fun of over the top fashion.

What do you look for when deciding to work with a photographer?

When deciding to work with a photographer, it’s a lot like any other relationship I treat in life. I look for communication, trust, and experience. I like people that have a solid vision of what they are looking to accomplish, and a plan to make that happen.

Which models or other artists currently inspire you?

Honestly, there are so many that I can’t just narrow things down to one person, but I  do enjoy the time that we live in and that through social media we have so much exposure to artists all over the world.

What would be your dream shoot?

I think I would love to do some type of highly stylized shoot with wild animals or an underwater shoot.

How important is social media in your success?

I think social media is a tool we need to utilize in the day of age we are living in. I do believe you can progress at this end of the business without it, but if you have it, why not use it? The more people you can reach with the story you’re trying to tell the better.

What else do you like to do outside of modeling?

Outside of modeling, I’ve actually started to try to learn the other side of the camera. I’ve found interest in photographing other beautiful beings, which you can see on my Instagram. Also, when I’m not working, I love traveling as much I can and trying new things everywhere I go.

What’s the best career advice you can give to new models?

My best advice to new models would be, try to be kind to everyone, people will often book you because of your personality, not just because of your looks. It’s important to know and set your limits and to stick by them, know where you want to go with your career and then decide what jobs to take to help get you there.
