Congratulations to Model Mayhem’s Maja Stina on her first Bizarre Magazine cover. What’s even more impressive is that she is on the same cover as alternative modeling legend, Mosh. Here is what Maja had to say about her recent major accomplishment:This is my first cover, so I am over the moon that Bizarre is my first one! Mosh is also phenomenal and I’ve admired her work for so long, so getting to work with her was also amazing for me. I can’t thank Steve Prue enough for the shoot and I’d absolutely love to work with both of them again sometime.” Great work, ladies and Steve!

Coco Rocha discusses the dark side of modeling

Canadian supermodel, Coco Rocha, is not afraid to speak her mind when it comes to the negative aspects of the modeling industry. According to this Huffington Post article, Coco revealed that modeling is not all about making huge money and walking the glamorous runways all over the world. In fact, many times models have to work long hours without getting paid more than just a few articles of clothing in exchange for all the hard work that they do. Additionally, there are some creepy photographers out there, not to mention the possibility of getting caught up in substance abuse. Modeling is a tough industry to succeed in, especially given the amount of competition there is for the few modeling jobs that are available. The top models earn the most while many other girls just get by.

Natalia Vodianova’s philanthropic activities in Russia

Sometimes, the public views models as selfish and superficial. Russian-born supermodel, Natalia Vodianova, takes time to give back to her community. Vodianova walked for some of the world’s top fashion brands and appeared in countless fashion magazines, including the cover of Vogue. Back in 2004, she founded the Naked Heart Foundation, a non-profit organization which provides a safe environment for the less fortunate young Russian children.  She came from a poverty stricken family herself and she has a true understanding of what some of those kids are going through. Natalia is just one of the many famous and successful models who engage in philanthropic activities. She is using her fame and riches for a great cause.
