what? that's ridiculous... editorials with plus size models are on the rise sinca a year or so (and I do mean in non specialized magazines...). Nothing wrong with a skinny model, but I honestly don't see why they can't throw in an amazing plus size model every now and then

A lot of people (read: photographers) over here have no idea about any of that, don't believe it and don't want to hear about it. And, yes, obviously, that's ridiculous.

well, most of the time it's ignorance (that's just my experience). I have no idea why, but apparantly a lot of people (and photographers) think that every fat woman walking on the street is a plus size model, not realising that there are standards out there... most of them have never heard of "real" plus size models before, and when I explain, they are more willing to shoot. Very strange is that, I thought plus size models were a pretty known concept in the industry by now...

Nah, I have a day job and I'm a full time student.  I do have quit a few agencies but I don't have the time or the funds to test nearly as much as I should be doing so bookings for me are fairly slow (although when one comes along, I drop everything for it)
