The freaking power went out on my special little section of IRB!  I have so much to do.  This really isn't very good timing.  sad

Lots and lots of lightning to go with the lots and lots of rain.  I like all of this but the power going out not so much.

Went to a Concert Friday (I'll tell that story tomorrow)
But on Sunday I wanted to take the Chu Chu Train around the Zona Colonial
To see the antiquated buildings and architectural points of interest

So I bring my girl, and her brother and sister and friend and so on
Ultimately there were 6 of us

I go to pay and it's $12 each
I'm like ... hmm...$72.00
I'm kind of standing there and my girl sees that I'm doing the math in my head to convert to Pesos and see if I have enough in my pocket

So she rolls up to the window and says, "I'm Dominican"
The girl at the window perks up and says "Oh you are Dominican?"
Yes my girl says, and 2 of the people are kids and all the rest of us are Dominican

Oooh the girl says....Ok...
She punches some buttons, turns to me and says...$18.00

I turn to my girl and say "Dominican's have different prices?" (Not listed as such on the sign)
She just rolls her eyes and says yes.... for everything
You have to pay Gringo prices for everything you buy
Totally different for Dominicans

Maybe we will end up with a cool and dramatic sunset on the beach one of these days.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Very much appreciated. I have to say I've been quite surprised it didn't cause a shitstorm when I posted on FB. Perhaps there's hope for humanity after all.

Sunset was just a gray haze of blah but here is a shot from last week that I think turned out okay.  My Great Blue Heron in my Back Yard shot.

Nah,maybe a weak tropica? or subtropical storm at best...way too poorly organized
Which means a whole lot of blah and a large dose of ick the next few days, though there is a nice chance of waterspouts and such for us chasers who have the time

Starting tonight, it looks like it might rain for 24 hours straight.  I wanted to do something specific outside with my kids tomorrow morning but it doesn't look like that will be happening with 100% chance of rain for hours before and hours after.  It's going to be a wet one.  For those that enjoy the wet look, you might want to get a pair of waders and visit the city streets that always flood.  Looks like you would have a good chance at interesting shots.

Edit: 2:45 PM - The rain has started.

Tomorrow is the first day of summer for the kids.  I really do not need this, pretty sure no one else does either.

On a happy note, tomorrow is a special day at WH...summer swimsuit edition.
