I've taken your suggestions, edited my port, and will build on what I have. Cheers. PS I got a haircut. Haha Good for you I neglected this thread now for a while I appreciate the patience of the remaining people waiting for my critique I will go on critiquing and will not abandon the thread. Thanks again for your patience, I have been super busy.

Thanks Some work jumps out like this one but you are not quite there yet I am not sure if you tried to create an effect with the leaves and small depth of field to have some foreground and background blur but the leaves and branches on her lips and face is a major set back. I see some nice ideas like this but in general I don't like the contrast in your photos. the photos in the parking garage appear like more face book snapshots then worthy to be in a port. Neither this unless nowadays motion blur is also being considered as art or artistic I find that "Very Experienced" doesn't belong there. I really looked hard for some evidence but didn't find any.

When you have reflective backgrounds like in those photos metal door plastic etc.. you have to be careful not to get glare back to your lens. don't set your strobe or speedlight heads on perpendicular to the surface. angle it sideways and slant it and use at least 2 sources of light to create a balanced contrast and not to wash out the background. Soften your light with a soft box or put the "sock" over the beauty dish or whatever you are using Same thing applies to the model's forehead which glows. Same thing applies to studio shots with white garments they reflect back and you lose the detail , some only care if such detail is important. In any case studio work feels better. Good luck and keep shooting

Heartfelt thanks in advance. Jasmine Tooley Model First impressions: Nice and appealing gorgeous look. Your Skill level: Beginner Pluses: Nice figure Your money shot: Challenges: Too much competition in your age range, sorry but you don't look to me as 24 Your Work focus: should be commercial but port is geared towards beauty What I like: not strong to list What to delete: Meh and appears as if you are either distracted or in pain, ignore the patronizing comments under that photo. Bottom line: Ineffective posing, need to improve poses and body language Profile usefulness: Very useful Next Step: start real modeling Verdict: You will do fine if you put in the effort
