Anyone else get a message relating to this site?

http://www2.diverxity.com/

Looks sort of like a Zivity clone to me..... Anyone use it yet? I took a brief look, nothing is available at the moment except uploading pictures... makes me think it may be a scam..

Aimed more at producing erotica than Zivity. Also, they claim we'll get most of the $$. I bookmarked it...

I agree, same concept as Zivity... more adult(porn) oriented though. Any thoughts on the chances its a scam/rights grab?

I didn't read the contract, but the info provided in the "content producer" page says we keep our copy rights and can pull content at any time. If they get an audience, could be well worth trying, but that's a big "if"....

Zivity is not a growth market. I can't see how a new player in the game will make it any better.  a greater percentage of something smaller is still.....small.

Good point... But maybe the "erotica" aspect will make it sell better? IDK....

The difference being that Zivity is more focused on "Nude Art", and nothing overly graphic is allowed. Where as full on porn is accepted at diverxity(one of their set categories is group sex, lol).

To me this means that diverxity may have a better chance at success, being as its more along the lines of full on porn. Though, the still image porn industry is rather hard to make $$ in with all the free porn sites out there.

I guess thats my point. Art sells more than porn already so I cant see this being a growth market (even with group sex if you will pardon the pun).

I think this site will be a winner.  It fills the gap that Zivity left out.  It may legitimize a new way to deliver porn into the mainstream of WORLD.  It is just like iPod to music world.

Hey Guys - My name is Lou and I am one of the founders of Diverxity.   We are *just* in the process of coming out of "stealth mode." We're not even fully out as you can tell by the "www2"

But I'm glad to see all the discussion!  This is why community is such an important thing.  So a couple things - 1) this is definitely *not* any sort of scam.  I've been a tech entrepreneur my entire career and a serious amateur photographer for over a decade.  You can see my background @ http://www.linkedin.com/in/lgiacalone.  2) This is not intended to be a Zivity clone.  I like Zivity a lot, have been on there for a while, but frankly, there's just not much money flowing through it.

Our intent is to have a much broader swath of content, including full on stuff - because honestly, that's what the majority of people who pay to subscribe to sites want to see.  We believe that's how we get the money into the community.  Our research (lots of surveys) has shown that if given a preference to subscribe to a place that is supporting the artists and talent primarily and is committed to being socially responsible, that they would choose to spend their $$ in such a place.  We shall see, right?

Our system is designed that you'll get a portion of any users $$ that look at your content.  Period.  Now if they look at "everything" then yes, your slice would be small, sure.  But this is about creating a large community and therefore if all goes as planned the "nickels and dimes" add up.  This is in contrast to Zivity where you're essentially trying to beg a few dollars from a thousand active fans. Also I find it interesting that many of the most successful Zivity artists are relying on "upselling" more erotic pictures as "incentives" to get those extra dollars.  Why make it so convoluted.  Just give the people what they want I say!

We're doing a quick meet and greet tour to start a dialog with everyone.  And We're trying to hit a lot of cities because we want to assure folks that we're real and nothing substitutes for meeting someone in person and looking them in the eye.  I am in Portland today 2/23 and tomorrow 2/24.  In SF Bay Area Sun/Mon/Tues 2/26-28.  LA/OC Thurs/Fri/Sat March 1-3, and Vegas Sun/Mon March 4/5.

My email is [email protected].  Hope to get to work with all of you!  We're all in this together!

Best regards, --Lou

Its good to hear from you, thanks for chiming in! I that I had more notice for the meetup in Portland, I may have been able to make it. Looks like a great concept, and I will be checking it out for sure.

I met Lou and Chiva today after their Los Angeles meet and greet. I think Diverxity is going to be a great opportunity for many photographers and models out there. They made it very clear that hardcore work was in no way a requirement, and they are making sure the producer and the model agree on the split of the money they make so it's not as lopsided as other websites have been.

I've signed up, and I hope other people do too (especially as you get extra income from referrals, so more and more people are encouraged to join).

They are still in the process of getting set up, but I'm really excited about this (and they haven't asked me to come on here and say anything, I'm just sharing my own experiences and what I've gleaned from speaking to them for a few hours).

That said... my user name is SophieNova. If you sign up and want to use me as your referral, I wouldn't mind wink

Bump.  I just had two models refer me in the last 24 hours.  Anyone get any checks from them yet?  The pyramid scheme (aka MLM) aspects of the referral scheme are bothering me, so I haven't signed up, but thinking about it.

I like how to you mentioned the pyramid scheme of referral. I just signed up (yes I know it is 2017) and can tell there is a sea of inactivity.

Zivity will not get back to me about setting up an account. I try every month or so but all I get are automated "were gonna contact you!" emails. Its frustrating

Was referred by a photographer that I'd shot Zivity sets with... he didnt feel like it was worth his time to upload them to zivity so he figured DX would be "promising" so I've signed up. They seem rather real from the site and from the zivity forums but I'm still waiting for "payout".
