PhotoVogue- show yours
Idea taken from another thread. If you have any photos accepted in the photovogue website give the link below. http://www.vogue.it/photovogue/Profilo/ … d2992/User Jun 21 12 07:58 am Link I am the only one with a photo on there? I must be more awesome then I already thought I was:) Jun 21 12 11:24 am Link http://www.vogue.it/en/photovogue/profi … 5dc0b/user I can never seem to get them to accept anything more though Jun 21 12 04:41 pm Link I just started submitting some stuff to them. It's nice because I have an option to do something with all my random work that doesn't fit guidelines about clothing lines and what not for other places. I'm currently trying to get acquainted with their style a bit more to increase the chances and not waste anyone's time. http://www.vogue.it/en/photovogue/Profi … 0af85/User Jun 22 12 07:52 pm Link Jun 22 12 07:55 pm Link Their style is hard to pin down, but the short answer is it needs to invoke a emotion in their photo editor. Not much help is it but she doesn't limit it much beyond that. There have been a few FAQ posted on the site about it, including a recent one showing some of what she didn't like. Maybe the magazine is not devoting the proper resources to it. Jun 22 12 08:34 pm Link Guss W wrote: Anyone can open an account and get a gallery. The difficulty is in getting your photos approved and into the gallery. I imagine those photographers with empty galleries haven't had a photo approved yet. I did get something in there I submitted today so I guess that is good. Jun 23 12 04:15 pm Link Jun 25 12 05:49 am Link They are very particular on fashion.... Jun 25 12 06:30 am Link Not what I would have considered my best work, but they did evidently. http://www.vogue.it/en/photovogue/Profi … 408b7/User Jun 25 12 06:48 am Link i haven't submitted anything in a long while...no telling what they'll accept..this a scanned negative, you can still see the dust and scratches.. http://www.vogue.it/en/photovogue/Profi … 26d70/User Jun 25 12 07:21 am Link Jun 25 12 07:27 am Link They do like chickens.. But only a certain amount. They dont like ducks.... LOL!!! But really in Italy they do like chickens had no idea.... I just shot pictures of them because I had fear of them so I took it as a challenge... Jun 25 12 08:55 am Link grrr Jun 25 12 08:58 am Link I opened an account and sent a few in the other week and got one accepted which was very pleasing! Just off to shoot some chickens that seems to be the way to go. http://www.vogue.it/en/photovogue/Profi … 87864/User Jun 25 12 09:33 am Link Chickens are very dangerous creatures watch out!!! LOL!!! And congrats on your picture. Jun 25 12 10:02 am Link dp Jun 25 12 02:20 pm Link they have gotten way more pickier with what they will accept since the merge with art+commerce... Since images accepted on photovogue will also be accepted on art+commerce for the most part... Anyways..heres mine http://www.vogue.it/en/photovogue/Profi … 5cbb3/User Jun 25 12 02:20 pm Link voila mine no idea if the link would work though. http://www.vogue.it/en/photovogue/Profi … 9dad8/User But I want to say what they select is so random. Like as if the bullshit point and shoot form an Ixus I have in there should have been accepted. Yet others I KNOW should be weren't. I don't submit anything now, or don't have anything I assume is for Art and Commerce..... Jun 25 12 02:29 pm Link Opened an account. Let's see how it goes Jun 25 12 03:21 pm Link OK, here's mine: Chip Morton - PhotoVogue http://www.vogue.it/en/photovogue/Profi … 57b46/User As far as the randomness, my thought is that there's no way in hell the Ed is actually looking at all the submissions. There's gotta just be way too many coming in. I'd bet an underling or two does some initial editing. Jun 25 12 05:17 pm Link I haven't figured it out either but have a couple approved. Here are mine: http://www.vogue.it/en/photovogue/Profi … 38a76/User Jun 25 12 05:24 pm Link http://www.vogue.it/en/photovogue/Profi … d4742/User It's been a while since I've uploaded, however. Jul 25 12 11:34 am Link Ok, so I am trying to figure out, what is the point of Photo Vogue. How is it any different than any number of photo blogs, besides wearing the Vogue name?
