So basically Conde Naste is building up a stock of images that they can use in their magazines for free?

And if lucky you get an actual tear, after you buy the magazine.

Has anybody checked to see if they can re-sell your images to a 3rd party without asking and without compensation (kind of like what FB tried to pull)?

Is it just me, or is the site incredibly slow?

What are they at, 30,000 photographers?

And yes I did sign up. Now to see if I will send anything up to them.
And considering I love Voque Italia and Paris, it would be neat if something got chosen.

No its not a free stock collection. The showcase with the tiny vogue logo is in lowres and they don't use it outside the site photovogue. Once the image is showcased in photovogue you have the option to upload a high res file to the art+commerce site that is password protected, etc and the prices (for what a guy told me but I haven't seen a real price list) is near old school getty images and microstock

Ok.

Wait, are you saying this is a fair everybody has a chance of decent exposure and to make a buck.

In this day and age, how the hell did that happen.

Don't really have much up there, partly also because I can't submit all the photos I have on hand.

i've submitted 9 over the last three days and have had one chosen for inclusion. they don't like my "fashion" pics (i use that term loosely because i'm not great at it) and chose a pic that i randomly snapped without thought. lol.

Thanks! They accepted another one this week. They can't stand my models, or my shitty pics, or both, but they liked my ug-mug self-port. lol.

Thanks..I will. I HOPE I can find a copy of the magazine over here. I asked for a copy of the layout when it's done. They just contacted me at 2AM today CA time and needed everything by Wednesday. That's sort of how Ilford works too. I once got a call while I was hiking in Yosemite form them over in Switzerland telling me they need a hires version of one of my pics by the next day. Lets me know where I stand doesn't it. LOL!

They have rejected all of my people shots so far but I was super happy that they published at least something from me even if it's architecture.  I realize this does not make me a Vogue photographer and that it simply means I met the minimum threshold to be published, but still, it's an accomplishment for someone like me.

For a while I haven't been to active  there...but it seems they like my works.

http://www.vogue.it/en/photovogue/Profi … c2e98/User

2011 one of work's was choosen from the top 100 which was exhibited by Vogue  in Millan Moreno , gallery display for 2 weeks. Plus invited for the Catwalk but couldn't make it.
Also I have been close with the Italian Vogue. Actually this is my first time in forums posting my Vogue profile, I guess lots of my other publications include Taco Bell , to Subway etc. kepted with me. because dealing publicly with forums its has very neg results -gossips an inferiority
Is what happens most. MM is one of the best site but it can be better.
Still love you all:)

As member since 2010 they never ask me for a print They had always request high res files.

I finally uploaded a couple of images and had them approved, but I definitely made a point of telling people on my social networking sites that I was NOT "published in Vogue Italia" like so many people seem to (misleadingly) phrase it. Although it may sound less impressive to say "I had a photo approved for display on the Photo Vogue website", that is the reality of the situation isn't it?

(And, despite the snarkiness of what I wrote above, I would like to wish a sincere and hearty congratulations to those of you who make picture of the day or actually get published for real from this site - yes, it can happen and it is truly an accomplishment to be proud of!)
