Frustrating weekend.  Two models flaked. Should have gone hiking instead.  Boo hoo.  Lights are on.  Pity party is over.  Everyone can go home now.

Storms flake regularly. This was supposed to have lightning in it.

Wanna bet?  Finally went to the deadfall lot I've been wanting to shoot by my home since I'd moved here....

...And someone with a Bobcat was plowing it up!

For me good landscapes have always been more elusive than models but this
is the Pacific North Wet.

While the land itself has never flaked on me, I've had uncooperative clouds, uncooperative wind, uncooperative tides, an uncooperative sun, uncooperative flowers, ...  You get the idea, I'm sure.  I was just in Point Lobos.  By the time the tide dropped low enough for the image I wanted, the sun was in the wrong position.  And the waves were still high enough for a "rogue wave" to have knocked me over if I went scrambling on the rocks to get to the proper position.

Hmph. Do you know how many beach days the weather has ruined last minute?

Well, one might say the landscape did not flake...but it was environmental, eg. the weather.

Really, I blame the weathermen.

I have lots of landscape flakes...

Been bit by a snake

Sprayed by a skunk and told it might have been rabid (It didnt bite me so no shots necessary)

Been rained, on, Snowed on. Sunburned... and sand storm.

Poison IVY!!!

Robbed, assaulted

Caught on fire

fell down a ravine and had to be air rescued

caught in a flash flood

Hurricane

Mistral

Spoken french to

been groped

chased away (by cops, security, attack dogs)

Stung by numerous stinging insects

killer bee swarm

Locusts landing in my paint.

Chipmunks stealing my lunch and then singing to me holiday songs while this stupid looking mug  was yelling anus or something like that at them!

actually landscapes never flake... You are right!
