Trolls and Trolling???
Dec 03 12 09:07 pm Link Is this thread some kind of meta-trolling? Dec 03 12 09:11 pm Link Mad Hatter Imagery wrote: Joined: Jun 06, 2008 Dec 03 12 09:12 pm Link Google search "forum definition" and read up on what you find. From there you can judge what people are commenting on. Maybe the way you phrase things makes them think a certain way or whatever. I have not read any of your posts up to now so I don't know... but if it happens to you often you might want to try and figure out why. Dec 03 12 09:12 pm Link trollallalllalaalalaaaaaaa Dec 03 12 09:52 pm Link Generally, I just the trolls Dec 03 12 10:01 pm Link You be trollin' right now (at least, it sure seems like you are.) Google is your friend. As is Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_(Internet) Dec 03 12 10:02 pm Link DOUGLASFOTOS wrote: Was thinking the same thing. I don't know why people call everything negative trolling but that's a little insulting to the pros Dec 03 12 11:51 pm Link Mad Hatter Imagery wrote: Dec 04 12 12:54 am Link Gabrielle Heather wrote: Are you going out of your way to stalk me now? You've been here long enough to know better. This type thread only delights children, and pisses off everyone else. How could you possibly be so desperate for attention? Dec 04 12 12:06 pm Link Personally, I never knew what trolling was, nor do I see the OPs question as trolling, out of line, stalking, harassing, whatever one may define it. If trolling is roaming around here to pick and choose what/who to comment on...then that's what we all do, isn't it? I joined MM on January 15th, 2007. That doesn't make me a troll, just because I recently discovered the forums here on MM. It just reminds me to go to the eye doctor more often and get the old glasses revised. Just my thoughts. I did not know of their history in Off-Topic, as I don't use that section of the forum. Now I am understanding why this is an issue. Dec 04 12 01:31 pm Link Mad Hatter Imagery wrote: I feel you(-: I've been called a too. It's simply a coincidince of you starting too many controversial threads. As I state my opinion honestly and people tend to think that it isn't honest and I'm making an attempt to get a rise out of them(trolling) Dec 05 12 12:11 am Link Presley ONeil wrote: Not exactly. It's usually simply aconsequence of starting multiple controversial threads, especially threads where overly dramatic statements are flung around with little attention to reality. Dec 05 12 11:43 pm Link Carlos Occidental wrote: I put it in the newbie section because all other forums are specialized other than the "off topic" one which is the primary one I use. Why are you in the newbie section? Dec 06 12 12:17 pm Link Just because the OP has started threads doesn't mean s/he is current on interweb lingo. I first thought being called a meant you were ugly haha! Granted that was years ago. I'm a gamer so I'm familiar with the term. The other thing that irks people is that you (OP) could have googled "what is trolling." We have a plethora of resources here. One would assume you did, and thus know the answer, which would explain why you're still being trolled for trollling. Dec 06 12 12:19 pm Link Presley ONeil wrote: Thank you. Making people think is a reward in and of itself these days. For some people a much greater challenge however. Dec 06 12 12:20 pm Link Kevin Connery wrote: "little attention to reality?" How do I get 4+ pages of people discussing my topics if they were so far removed from reality? You help to moderate this site? You have rather strong opinions for that role. I don't have much interest in learning all the newer lingo because odds are good like much that have come before it, it too will pass.
