I think that is ridiculous.
- Perhaps if more people were financially stable, more children would be born.
- Perhaps if raising children weren't so expensive, more children would be born.
- Perhaps if childcare were affordable, more children would be born.
- Perhaps if college tuition weren't skyrocketing, more children would be born.
- Perhaps if the workplace were accommodating to new parents, more children would be born.

I could go on and on and on, but instead I'll just ask this:

What about all the children who are already HERE that need to be cared for? The adoption/foster care system is in SHAMBLES.

I think having babies to stimulate the economy is a bad reason to have children.

Why on Earth would we encourage more children when people can barely provide for those already here (whether its families raising them or the state should they be given up for adoption or somewhere in between w/ our social welfare programs that help families bridge the gap)?
