For me it seemed like once I'd done a few nude shoots the models showed their friends and I've now had several based on the referrals.  Word of mouth seems to work very well for this genre.  Of course maintaining a professional photo session is required to get the referrals.

Ask in a professional manner.  I asked a model about shooting nudes a couple hours ago.  She thanked me and complemented me.

That's the risk you take asking anyone on the street. Even if you're not looking to shoot nudes, a lot of people will assume you're a perv for asking.

Having a business card to hand them helps to mitigate that impression.
