I found this Youtube tutorial but it's unclear at best and inaudible at it's worst. Anyone have a place that has a tutorial on this effect?

yes, the audio is poor quality, but I could understand everything. it seems
to be the last part of a series.

Yeah, I've gone through the set. He skips around a lot, changes things without telling you how he did it and at times I can't hear what he said at all. It's frustrating. This can't be the only tut online about this... right?

I believe this tutorial will help...to change the distortion you can use different brush sets. Hope this helps.

Just search 'photoshop disintegration' and a few should come up. I've used this technique before for quite a few photos, and there are some on Youtube of much better quality and clarity. Good luck!
