that was insane. I watched  it when it aired. Good guy too. He was genuinely concerned and they made sure to show that people can get hurt for real, they sent him to the hospital to get tests done to make sure things were ok. Said his memory should come back within the hour. Hope it did.

Ya it was a solid KO but if you look on youtube there are some K-1 and Pride KO's that look way worse.

Bingo! with ratings down they do need a hype machine. it was a hell of a KO but Dana has really over sold it.

Hype or not, that was a https://assets.modelmayhem.com/images/smilies/scary.pngknockout. Glad he eventually got up and walked away from it.

Maybe but this was a clean, powerful roundhouse to the temple. One pop and down he went.
When I studied Shotokan, we aimed to strike and add 3-4 inches of follow through for full contact impact. I've seen my share of good hits and broken limbs, tailbones, etc but rarely this clean and radical.

I would had watched it if it wasn't for that 30 second commercial.

We have also seen some crazy UFC head kick knock outs. I was actually just watching "the best" of them on you tube the other day because of the commercial for the show. I also watched reals for best knock outs. Some of the one kick knock downs get followed by a punch because the ref isnt there to stop it and the fighter is too amped. It was a GREAT kick, but THE best? that was going a bit far on Dana's part, but I can understand why he did it. Dana is a good guy and all but he sees dollar signs these days is all. He could have said ONE of the best, but took it to the next level. Like  I mentioned earlier, I am hoping no damage was done permanently, and he recovered just fine.

Ya it was a clean KO but for just visual stuff like this one looks way worse.
