I was preparing to my new make-up - I have ordered a lot different crystals. for regular shapes normally I use wax picker. (tweezers are to awkward for me)

regular shape - flat top

however I have ordered a lot pointed crystals like this
https://www.diamondoccasion.co.uk/ekmps/shops/davidhallewell/images/5mm-flat-back-pointed-rhinestone-gems-royal-blue-ab-829-p.jpg

any ideas how to pick it? are there any other tools or methods of picking of rhinestones?

(I tried both way till now) for tweezers - the bottom rim is too small to grab...for wax pencil - there is no enough surface to catch as rhinestone is round)

Many thanks for help

Craft stores like Michael's or AC Moore sell them with the flat bottoms.

They're just called flat back rhinestones.

I don't want to buy flat rhinestone - I just got theme too. But I have set of pointed rhinestones which I would love to use for make-up as this are iridescent and looks far different and shine different then regular (iridescent) ones.
I simply looking for best way (hygienic way) of picking it....

There are many bent style tweezers that may work. Try this site just to view some options.  http://www.micromark.com/double-bend-de … ,6717.html

best of luck

There's some stuff called Embellie Gellie that you can put on the end of an orange stick. It's moldable so you can shape it how you want. I don't know if this could work any better than a wax picker though.

I recommend the super skinny tweezers that are used in pearl knotting. They are more delicate than regular ones -

Just google "pearl knotting tweezers"

I do a ton of rhinestones on bodies, on masks, on costumes, on a plethora of craft projects. I keep a little box of birthday cake candles on the table. I keep a candle in my hand to keep the wax slightly warmer than the air & use the stickiness to pick up & place the rhinestones. Normally, the glue that I'm placing it on is sticky enough to pull it from the wax.

This is brilliant. I was absolutely struggling sticking pearl type things & little tiny shells on a model the other day. Why didn't I think if this?

I would try a normal q-tip - pushing the point of the rhinestone into the head of the q-tip and placing it where I want it.
