Do you need perfect Teeth for modeling?
My teeth aren't totally jacked but there a little uneven and jagged, and i defiantly need braces and a jaw alignment. Are teeth a big part of modeling .. will agencies deny me because of my ugly teeth? Also if everything else is good, i do consider my self pretty, i have a fit body, and im confident but my teeth are my insecurity? wat do agencies think about that? As for freelancing modeling, I have buck teeth and a misaligned jaw, and my natural state is open mouth. It has not prevented me from getting jobs. Sometimes teeth issues, like gaps or buck teeth can work for a model. Just make them work for you, and don't try to hide them. Mar 08 13 08:09 pm Link I am not an expert but I would say yes they are! It is integral part of your being able to express yourself...eg...smiling, you gotta smile sooner or later, sometimes big sometimes small. You have other expressions where your teeth will show so I would say it matters for that reason. Will it hold you back? Can't say... Mar 08 13 08:30 pm Link Nope. Crooked teeth are actually fairly common among Japanese models and are actually more desirable than straight teeth in the Japanese community. Take a look at this model: http://stud-center.com/wallpaper/ayaka- … 39472.html In some instances, braces are even a hype. I have clear braces. Get your teeth fixed if it's a medical necessity. Mar 09 13 10:20 am Link No - 'Hollywood'-perfect teeth are not a pre-requisite for internet modelling. You'll be fine. Mar 09 13 10:23 am Link When you are posing naked, the last thing any guy will want to look at are your teeth. Mar 09 13 10:24 am Link It couldn't hurt. Mar 09 13 10:27 am Link Perfect teeth are pretty much a requirement for commercial modeling, for editorial, not as much. But you're 5'2", have tattoos, roots that need to be done, so unfortunately you're not agency standard anyways. Sorry. Mar 09 13 10:47 am Link i've had models with lousy teeth (dentures even). didn't seem to be stopping them, at least for internet hobbyist modeling. As others pointe out that at 5'2" it's not your biggest challenge Mar 09 13 10:54 am Link Perfect pearly whites aren't needed. They do help, but isn't a top thing on a person's list. Mar 09 13 07:44 pm Link if your teeth look bad, just close your mouth Mar 09 13 07:57 pm Link Michael Broughton wrote: This is a huge pet peeve of mine! I have been modeling regularly since 2006. I have never tried to be agency represented. If you are only thinking of modeling if you are agency represented, then maybe modeling is not for you. The height thing is probably your main problem. Mar 10 13 12:17 pm Link Having done model scheduling for some 15 yrs., would have to say that, 'Yes,' the model's teeth are an *important* factor. There are numerous great photos that are 'Teeth-Themed,' and you know photographers, they don't usually like to have limitations on what's possible. So, besides putting out some KIND thoughts on the subject, along with their over-all health picture;. . height, hair, skin, shaving and so on, would usually include this link:http://www.cosmeticdentistrygrants.org/CosmeticDentistryGrants/. Have you talked to the agencies about doing shoe modelling? Wishing you luck with your career. Mar 12 13 09:07 am Link B R E N N A N wrote: Pretty much this. Mar 12 13 10:17 am Link |
