This sort of thing, only with more of a practical makeup base integrated into some CG rendered makeup?

What do you think? Something for SFX makeup artists to move toward? Something to be shunned? Neither?

We've seen "shiny new toy" techniques be used just because they can (aka "We'll just do it in Post.")  and then things settle out and the technique is used to it's strength rather than an end-all-to-be-all.

I'd expect we'll continue see more "hybrid" executions - a mix of traditional SFX makeup with CG components.

Yes, the industry changes and as a result and Artists have to adapt accordingly, but its the nature of the medium.
