For the mature images, the photographer does not get a "true black", but, that said, they are strong, interesting images. I like them. I would hire you. A negative is that you have 4 images in which your face covered when you have a lovely face.

You have a very strong portfolio for someone just starting on Mayhem. I've seen people start with 4-5 clumsy-looking phone selfies and you've got some really nice material.

The color shot in jeans, outdoors facing the camera might be a better avatar for getting business.

Bag over face pictures  do not add attractive images. Many  B&W pics have muddy tones  deeper blacks not well defined.  Lovely skin tones & red hair in profile image., but the barred background distracts .  You need  more PRO pics to improve port,
Sweet persona shown in many pics, especially the one with male face partially hidden.in couple image.

OP,

--First off, if a photographer uses borders around an image, ask them if it's possible for you get your images without it.  If they say no, move on to the next photographer.

--Definitely not a fan of the ones with your face covered up.  Looks like you're trying to emote emotion, but, how's that going to happen if I can't see your face.  Yes, I'm aware faceless portraits are niche genre.  I just don't get them.

--These are just snapshots with way too much lazy skin smoothing method.  Your first photos were better.

--Overhead shots like these without your face is useless.  You should have looked up or something, but, watch out so you're neck doesn't look awkward, like broken.

--Don't have the same shots.  Pick one.  However, these butt shots are not doin' anything.  Bad on the photographer for using a wide angle lens this close this low.

--Bad on the photographer for cutting off your foot.  And, your left hand looks like an amputee.  If the photographer is in-front of you, don't show the back of your hand.  Show the side instead.

--Only the whites of your eyes are showing.  Kinda creepy.

Ashley,
I would delete everything but the last 4 shots you have up, the new ones are pretty worthless.    There is little point in shooting again until you find a more competent photographer.

Hey Ashley,

i'm a noob trying to nail down the same things you are–good posing technique and facial expressions. That being said, your smile looks beautiful and genuine. I'm looking at the one with the guy behind you in particular when I say this. And it appears you're not afraid to be expressive with your body as well. I think you've got a good foundation to start with.

A couple of photographers had some great things to say which I Learned from as well. The only thing I would add is that when your face is neutral, your mouth seems to have a natural downturn at the corners which kinda makes you look sad. Maybe if you want a neutral face you might lift the corners of the mouth a bit. I'm kinda the same way. What I think is a neutral face on me looks like disgust or frustration when I look back at the pics.

I agree that you would be great at pin up type stuff. And I like the darker weirder face covered type pics. Yes the photographer's technique may need to be tweaked but it's cool to see you're willing to do a range of concepts.
