I have always been an artist! I just never found this form of art until my niece wanted me to do face painting at her birthday party. With encouragement from a friend I decided to give this a try! I absolutely love doing this! I have now been doing this for a little over a year. I don't see it is nude or naked but truly see it as a living breathing form of art! Each time I paint a new canvas, I see it as a way to challenge myself and grow! My goal is to always make the model comfortable and for the photographer to get great shots!

My goal as an artist is to help the photographer capture just the right photo. Whether this is a scene that tells a story or something one can vision along with the props, taking you to another place! I am very crafty and therefore like to use my skills to make props or parts of the costume. I have made headpieces, Mardi Gras masks, sewn on pieces for costuming, etc... The idea is that I feel that some of the best photos are those where I have had the freedom to add these extra touches. I love color, but I also love texture. I love to incorporate things that my models like. I feel that I want each piece to reflect my model in some way, so that they can somehow become that piece in some way!

The key to a great piece of art is communication and dealing any issues of payment or contracts upfront. I see the model, the photographer, and myself as equal contributors to the work and feel that this form of art cannot be made without anyone one of us. Each piece is unique and that is why communication is required from all parties involved. PHOTOGRAPHERS:
I give consideration to trade work based on the project. If the concept will benefit my portfolio and all paint is paid for as well as, if I have to go out of the Clayton/Raleigh area. Professional grade paint and makeup isn't cheap so I just can't go in the hole. However -

I am interested in shoots and photographers that are artistic and will produce amazing concepts. Professionals who are talented artists and want to make amazing art and do something different.

My art is just is much a focus in the final photograph and as valuable as your art.
For trade work, I request equal copyright with photographers, and or require licensing rights. Ethical artists who are photographers understand this.
I will discuss all trade, but I am for hire.
